It's two of our all-time favorite ingredients... BACON and PEANUT BUTTER! Get your taste buds geared up with the finds and recipes below!

We love peanut butter, but the fat grams and calories can add up quickly when indulging. Besides good old-fashioned reduced-fat peanut butter, here are some of our favorite ways to PB it up...


Portion-controlled peanut butter packets! Not only does Justin's Nut Butter come in amazingly delicious varieties, but the brand also offers up TWO calorie-controlled options -- there are 2-tbsp. packs of peanut butter with 170 - 200 calories each (PointsPlus® value 5 - 6*) and adorable mini PB packets with 80 calories each (PointsPlus® value 2*)! Super-low-fat powdered peanut butter! This stuff is made from defatted peanuts and brought to us by companies like Bell Plantation and FitNutz. Add a bit of water and stir, and it instantly becomes spreadable and dippable! Sometimes we like to give it an extra flavor boost with a bit of sweetener and salt. You can also blend the powder up in smoothies and use it in recipes. SO COOL! A 2-tbsp. serving typically has about 50 calories and 1.5g fat (PointsPlus® value 1*). Worth ordering online!


Better'n Peanut Butter/Peanut Wonder! This spread (packaged under two different names) is in a class by itself. It spreads just like peanut butter and has that nutty-good taste, but it's a touch too sweet to taste EXACTLY like the real thing. However, with just 100 calories and 2g fat per 2-tbsp. serving (PointsPlus® value 2*), it's a great option if you enjoy a little sweetness and want a fat-slashed nut butter. It even comes in fun flavors, like Banana! It's not a supermarket staple, but it isn't impossible to find either. (Trader Joe's often stocks it.)


Quickie peanut butter fix: Quaker Chewy 90 Calorie Peanut Butter Granola Bars! Step away from the candy bars... These treats will give you that hit of nut-butter awesomeness you crave along with a nice dose of good-for-you grains. They're also kid-friendly and low in fat, with just 2 grams each (PointsPlus® value 3*).

Best of real bacon: center-cut slices and precooked crumbles! Center-cut bacon is sliced close to the bone, so it's less fatty than the standard stuff. A slice of center-cut averages 30 calories and 2.5g fat (PointsPlus® value 1*). But the easiest option for a guilt-free fix? Precooked real crumbled bacon, like the kinds by Oscar Mayer and Hormel. A tablespoon of either has 25 calories and 1.5g fat (PointsPlus® value 1*).


Totally tasty alternative: turkey bacon! With about 35 calories and 2.5g fat per slice (PointsPlus® value 1*), your basic turkey bacon is a terrific option, and the taste and texture are really good! There are lower-calorie slices, labeled extra-lean, but we think the standard stuff is worth a few extra calories.

Baconnaise Lite - This spread is surprisingly tasty and has only 30 calories and 3g fat per tablespoon (PointsPlus® value 1*)! It's vegetarian-friendly and even kosher.

Bacon Salt - Sprinkle a little of this on anything that could use a bacon-y kick... P.S. It's very low in calories (0 - 5 per serving), which is how we like our sprinkle-able spices.
