Stash Unsweetened Iced Green Tea Powders - In Original, Mint, Lemon Ginger, and Blueberry, these fun powder packets have just 10 calories, 0g fat and 2g carbs each (POINTS® value 0*). They dissolve in cold water and taste great! But make sure you get the unsweetened varieties. The ones labeled Lightly Sweetened have many more calories.

Kellogg's Lego Fun Snacks - These are yummy fruit-flavored gummi snacks shaped like Lego pieces. And they have just 80 fat-free calories per pouch. Each pouch also has 19g carbs and a POINTS® value of 2*. But don't get all excited thinking you can build ginormous sculptures with these fruit snacks. They don't snap together and can't be attached in any way (without glue, at least... ewww). Bummer!

Lean Pockets Recall! - The folks at Nestlé, makers of Lean Pockets, are recalling about 350,000 packages of their Spinach Artichoke Chicken Lean Pockets. These all have a "Best Before" date of Nov. 2009 and package codes beginning with 8144 544616. These products may contain pieces of plastic! DO NOT EAT THEM! If you have purchased recalled packages and/or have questions, you can reach Nestlé's consumer hotline at 1-800-350-5016.

Tomato Update! - Hooray... apparently all tomatoes are safe to eat again! The FDA announced last Thursday that it is withdrawing its warning against eating certain types of tomatoes, as it's recently been determined that tomatoes are not associated with the salmonella outbreak. The FDA is warning those considered high risk for illnesses (elderly people, infants, and those with weak immune systems) to avoid raw jalapeño and raw serrano peppers, though, as they may be linked to the outbreak. We'll keep you updated...

Special K Cereal Bars in Cinnamon Pecan - Crispy, light, sweet and nutty, these have 90 calories, 1.5g fat, 17g carbs, and <1g fiber (POINTS® value 2*) per bar. And they taste gooood.

Kashi Tasty Little Cereal Bars - These soft-baked bars are Kashi's answer to Nutri-Grain Bars, and they come in Baked Apple Spice, Blackberry Graham, and Ripe Strawberry. Each has 110 calories, 3g fat, 21g carbs, and 3g fiber (POINTS® value 2*).

Kellogg's Live Bright Brain Health Bars - These new bars are available for a limited time only, on Amazon. They have 150 calories, 5g fat, 20g carbs, and 2 - 3g fiber (POINTS® value 3*). Packed with 100mg of DHA omega-3, these come in Double Chocolate and Dark Chocolate Vanilla. They won't officially be released until August 4th, but you can pre-order them NOW!
The Buzz...

Starbucks has introduced Vivanno Nourishing Blends. These fancy-sounding smoothies come in two flavors -- Orange Mango Banana and Banana Chocolate. They each contain a whole banana, whey protein powder, fiber powder, 2% milk (you can request nonfat milk), ice, and either Naked Juice or bittersweet cocoa. They're packed with protein -- each one has 16 - 21 grams of the stuff! A Grande with 2% milk (the only size and stats currently available) has 250 - 270 calories, 2 - 5g fat, 44 - 47g carbs and 6g fiber (POINTS® value 4 - 5*). A tad high in calories for a drink (especially if it's just a snack!), but there's strong buzz on these. We tried 'em and they're alright. We're not all that jazzed. ***We ARE, however, jazzed about the new Twinkie-like snack cakes that are on the way from Weight Watchers. Each Golden Sponge Cake with Creamy Filling has a POINTS value of 1. We haven't sampled or seen these yet, but we know they're coming. More details soon. ***While we're on the subject of snack cakes, the new 100-calorie brownies in Mrs. Smith's Heavenly 100 Singles line are EMBARRASSINGLY small. Just thought we'd let you know. Save your money! ***Looking for gluten-free crunchy snacks that taste great? Check out Skinny Crisps! They're baked crackers with 60 - 80 calories, 3.5 - 4g fat, 4 - 5g carbs, and 2g fiber (POINTS® value 1*) per 4-cracker serving. We especially like the Toasty Onion and Cinnamon (Pssst... those are two separate flavors, not one horrible one!). Snag some online. That's all we've got. HG out!
