Walden Farms Thousand Island Dressing w/Soy Protein |
Dressed For Success |
Walden Farms Thousand Island Dressing with Soy Protein is the best fat free dressing we've ever tasted. Not to be confused with Walden Farms ZERO calorie dressings (those scare the bejeezus out of us), this creamy stuff has just 35 calories per serving and a sweet, tangy edge. Usually found in the refrigerated section of the supermarket (often near the produce or cheeses), this dressing is a little hard to find, but it's worth seeking out. In fact, it's so good on salads and in tuna, it'll make you forget how "1986" Thousand Island is. Perhaps, after all these years, the ketchup & mayo mixture is making a comeback? Hey, if Duran Duran can do it... |

Ken's Steak House - Thousand Island |
Dressed To Kill |
We all know it's the dressing that makes or breaks a salad. And Ken's Steak House's Thousand Island Dressing is an absolute salad annihilator. A two-tablespoon serving of the stuff has 135 calories and 13 grams of fat! Ken, who ARE you and what are you and your crazy steakhouse trying to do to us? We think it's a terrible idea to drown your salad in this gloppy goo. Instead, we propose using those calories on salad ingredients. You can do a lot with 135 calories. Add some avocado or sunflower seeds & raisins. Ditch Ken's and get your salad off the Worst Dressed list. Note: Ken does make some lite dressings, but they're still pretty calorie-heavy.
