Starbucks: Thanks a Latte!

This is a big week, people!  Tomorrow, April 4th, Starbucks will launch their new Tazo Matcha Green Tea Latte.  And not only has it been getting rave reviews from insiders who have gotten sneak sips of the stuff, but it's also the lowest calorie latte the chain offers.  A short version made with nonfat milk contains just 70 calories and no fat.  An iced one has just 80 calories.  Want to make yours even lower?  Have your friendly neighborhood barista leave out the 1/2 pump of melon syrup.  You'll save calories and get more of the green tea flavor.  FYI, this new green tea bev contains the same amount of antioxidants as a similarly sized glass of OJ.  Tea-rific!
Buy Me Some Grilled Shrimp & Cracker Jack...

When you think of baseball food you think of dogs...pretzels. On opening day ALONE, each stadium can expect to serve up a minimum of 10,000 hot dogs, 2,500 bags of peanuts, and 1,800 gallons of soda.  But Aramark, the food and facility managers behind your favorite stadiums are adding some gourmet foods to their offerings this year. Keep an eye out for shrimp dishes, mahi mahi, beef filets and salmon to show up at a baseball game near you.  FYI, some stadiums are already offering healthier options -- Fenway Park serves up tofu burgers, veggie dogs and fruit cups, while various other stadiums are serving baked potatoes, grilled chicken breast and more.  We STILL say bringing your own grub to baseball games is probably your best bet, but it's nice to know that healthier food is now an option.

New & Hot!

Here's what people are talking about...

Wishbone Salad Spritzers - Why drown your poor, defenseless salad in goopy dressing?  Wishbone's new Salad Spritzers in Balsamic Breeze Vinaigrette, Italian Vinaigrette and Red Wine Vinaigrette have 10 calories and 1g of fat for 10 sprays (that's just 1 calorie per spray, in case math isn't your thing).

Folger's Simply Smooth Coffee - Does coffee give you tummy "issues"?  Be on the lookout for the first-ever nationally available stomach-friendly coffee.  Simply Smooth will be available this month in regular and decaf.

Weight Watchers Snack Cakes, Lemon Cake w/Lemon Icing - These things aren't large by any stretch of the imagination, but if you want a sweet, cakey, lemony fix for one point, check out WW's 80 calorie, 2.5g fat, 2g fiber fluffsters.
The Buzz...

We had an AWESOME time chewin' it up at ExpoWest last month.  Some of our favorite new foods we tried were 100 Calorie Balance Bars, Guiltless Gourmet's decadent new desserts (out this May) and Kashi's brand new soon-to-be-released TLC granola bars.  Keep reading HG for more details on these and our other new food finds. ***Dairy-lovers, check THIS out.  You can get a FREE 3 issue trial subscription to either Prevention or Women's Health when you purchase milk, cheese and yogurt at the same time at participating supermarkets this month.  Click for details.  ***Speaking of magazines, the new issue of Looking Good Now! hits newsstands this week. And, as usual, HG's Lisa has her Treat Yourself column inside, but this issue is EXTRA-SPECIAL, because HG editorial associate Julie is on the cover (looking HOT, we may add!).  Don't miss it.  That's all we've got.  HG out!
