JAZZY JUICE |
Tropicana's Light 'n Healthy juice is your friend. Sure, we know that Tropicana basically just took their regular juice, watered it down a bit and added some Splenda, but who cares? The end result is O.J. that tastes almost as good as the real thing...but it has 1/3 less sugar and calories. Think you can duplicate this at home? You're right. But odds are you'll be lazy and just end up drinking regular juice. And who needs the extra calories? Tropicana scores high marks with us for being the first to create a lower-cal answer to orange juice and we love them for it. |

NOT SO SUNNY |
Perhaps if Sunny D's advertising slogan was "Unleash the power of high fructose corn syrup," we wouldn't be so down on them. It's their sheer lack of honesty that upsets us so much. They promote this syrupy-sweet orange drink as if it were some sort of vitamin-packed magical sunshine-in-a-bottle. But with just 5 percent fruit juice, it's basically water, sugar, and an extensive array of unidentifiable ingredients. So, unless your life is seriously lacking sodium hexametaphosphate, you should avoid this stuff.
