Weight Watchers recently rolled out their new Core Plan. The basic idea is this; There are certain wholesome and nutritious foods that you can eat as much as you want of. You eat these foods until you feel satisfied, and you don't have to keep track of points (which is good for people who hate math or feel dorky writing down exactly what they're eating). WW's Core foods include lean meats, some grains and starches, hot & cold cereals, fruits and more. On top of all that, you get 35 flex points a week to use on non-core foods. Confused? Awww, don't be. All the details can be found at Rumor has it this plan is a big hit with men -- so ladies, now might be the perfect time to get your man to rid himself of those pesky love handles.

What if your microwave oven could cook food at a temperature so hot that it actually melted away fat grams and dozens of unwanted calories as it cooked? You'd want to become Mrs. Microwave Oven, wouldn't you? Well, start scoping out wedding invitations because Sharp has introduced a microwave that is supposed to do just that. This miracle machine has features that reduce fat, cut sodium and keep nutrients intact. Before you explode with excitement, you need to know that this super magical microwave is only available in Japan -- and it costs over $1,100. No word yet on when it'll be available here in the U.S. or if the thing actually works. We'll keep you updated on details as they develop. Until then, you may want to hold off on getting those "Save the Date" cards out.

Wise Foods, the makers of the world famous Wise Potato Chips and Cheez Doodles, have announced their new line of healthy snack alternatives. They're called Wise Choice (clever name) and they come in four yummy-sounding flavors -- Original, Roasted Garlic & Chive, Mesquite Barbeque & Italian Herb. These potato crisps are not only low in fat, carbs and calories -- they're high in fiber, too, making them the perfect crunchy treat. Only available in 20 states (in the East) the company promises to start selling their snacktastic goodies online at any day now. We think that's a wise decision.

Grapefruits rock. And new studies show that these citrus champs may even help keep you svelte. In a recent study, a group of people that consumed 1.5 grapefruits a day lost an average of 3.5 lbs in 12 weeks -- and they weren't even dieting! Need more proof that grapefruits are a smart choice? Scientists say the tart fruit reduces the activity of an enzyme linked with making tobacco smoke more carcinogenic. So if you know any stubborn smokers who won't kick the habit, force feed them grapefruits.
