Hey...It's National Brownie Day! But before you break out the batter to

celebrate, here’s some need-to-know info...

HG's Best Brownie Bets...

(4 cookies: 80 calories, 0g fat, 70mg sodium, 18g carbs, 3g fiber, 8g sugars,

2g protein = 1 Point!)

These “chocolate chocolate chip cookies” taste more like fudgy, fun-sized

brownies to us! These’ll literally melt in your mouth, and each one has just

20 calories and is free of fat! Bonus! They’re all-natural, too.

Bake-at-Home Brownies:

Whether you prepare ‘em according the box with some fat-free yogurt, HG-

style with pure pumpkin, or with just some diet soda (don’t knock it ‘til ya try

it!), these super-chocolatey treats are awesome! There’s even a single-

serving recipe, for those of us who can’t be trusted with a whole pan of

Freezer Aisle Brownie Finds:

Smart Ones Brownie A La Mode

(1 dessert: 200 calories, 4g fat, 160mg sodium, 36g carbs, 3g fiber, 21g

sugars, 5g protein = 4 Points)

A chocolate brownie, covered in vanilla ice cream, and topped with chocolate

syrup?! Uhhh, yes, please! While this 200-calorie dessert might not be an

ideal every-night indulgence, it sure beats those crazy calorie-infested

brownie desserts served up at local eateries. HG recommends keeping

these on hand for emergency situations.

Dreyer’s/ Edy’s Slow Churned Light Ice Cream in Double Fudge Brownie

(1/2 cup: 120 calories, 4g fat, 50mg sodium, 18g carbs, 1g fiber, 13g sugars,

3g protein = 3 Points)

Is it any wonder why we love the Dreyer’s/Edy’s folks so much? Here

they’ve combined actual brownie hunks with swirls of fudge in their already

amazing light chocolate ice cream. This one’ll kick any brownie cravings to

the curb!

So this Brownie Walks into a Bar…

Luna Caramel Nut Brownie Bar

(1 bar: 190 calories, 6g fat, 125mg sodium, 27g carbs, 4g fiber, 11g sugars,

The latest in Gnu’s line of Flavor & Fiber bars, these manage to be low-cal,

low-fat, absurdly high in fiber and still taste amazing. Plus, they’re all-natural

and have yummy chocolate bits in ‘em. Find 'em online. Yay!
