Big Loveable Thing

It's finally here! Our brand-new and ginormous cookbook -- Hungry Girl 300 Under 300: 300 Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Dishes Under 300 Calories -- arrives in stores everywhere today! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! We're so excited, we're revealing a favorite new recipe from the book. YAAAAY!!!

1 package Pillsbury Classic Pizza Crust refrigerated dough
6 slices center-cut bacon or turkey bacon
1/2 cup fat-free mayonnaise
1/2 tsp. dry ranch seasoning mix
2 cups shredded lettuce
2 plum tomatoes, chopped

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Spray a large baking sheet with nonstick spray. Roll out dough on the sheet into a large rectangle of even thickness.

Bake in the oven until golden brown, about 15 minutes. Set aside to cool.

Bring a skillet sprayed with nonstick spray to medium heat on the stove. Add bacon and cook until crispy, about 4 minutes per side. Once cool enough to handle, crumble or chop and set aside.

In a bowl, combine mayo with ranch mix and mix well. Spread mixture evenly over the cooled pizza crust. Evenly top with lettuce, tomatoes, and cooked bacon.

Slice into 6 pieces and enjoy!

HG Tip! Roll your crust really thin for an even larger and crispier pizza... or don't and enjoy a thicker and fluffier pizza bottom!

Better Luck Tomorrow

We've got a big crush on BLTs. Who doesn't? They're sandwiches full of crispy BACON. We're also crazy about pizza because... well, it's PIZZA. And since we love playing matchmaker with beautiful foods, we've been dying to hook up these two items for a while. But others' attempts have yielded scary results -- check out the nutritional info for the average slice of BLT pizza! In order to create harmony between these two foods, we did some tweaking. Our favorite pre-made pizza dough -- Pillsbury Classic Pizza Crust -- helped make this happen; you can roll it thin and make it REALLY huge if you like! Add some nice lean bacon and the right extras, and you've got one seriously tasty treat! (And YES, it's totally amazing even without cheese.) BLT + PIZZA = a magical match headed straight into our mouths.
