Pam Professional High Heat - No-stick cooking spray is an HG staple. Pam's
newest version is specially formulated for high-heat cooking. So sauté, roast,
and stir-fry it up with less of that annoying residue. We love you, Pam!

Cascadian Farm Gourmet Organic Winter Squash - Feel free to defrost and
use this frozen squash in ANY HG recipe that calls for mashed butternut
squash. A half of a cup of mashed squash is about equal to a heaping cup of
raw cubes. It'll save you TONS of time, and probably a few bruises, too (b-
nut squash is NOT easy to peel, cut and de-seed!). This stuff is AWESOME!

Dreyer's/Edy's Limited Edition Slow Churned Pumpkin Ice Cream - That
Apple Pie find we featured last week isn't the only insanely great limited
edition fall flavor from Dreyer's. Their crazy-delicious Slow Churned Pumpkin
ice cream has just 100 calories and 3g fat per 1/2 cup. Just make sure to get
the one labeled Slow Churned, and NOT the regular Limited Edition version
(that one has more calories and fat). Stock up on the stuff, 'cuz it'll be gone
after Thanksgiving!

R.I.P. -- McDonald's Southwest Salad

Oh, it's a sad day at the HG HQ. Our inbox has been overflowing lately with
emails from people who are disillusioned... saddened... upset... and even
hopping mad because McDonald's is phasing out their limited edition
Southwest Salad. We knew it was coming. From day one, Ronald's PR team
(and all the signage and ads for this salad) warned that it wouldn't be around
forever, and that it could be leaving us at any time. But honestly, that
doesn't make losing it any easier. So long, warm cilantro-lime glazed
chicken. Bye-bye, black beans and roasted corn. Ta ta, tortilla strips. We'll
miss you, and we hope you'll be back next year so we can chew you again.
In the meantime, we here at HG are pledging to create a recipe for a super-
delicious swap for this salad and share it with all of you very soon (as in,
within the next few weeks!). So stay tuned...
