WEEKLY WEIGH-IN

100-calorie BROWNIES?! Yep! We chewed a slew of 'em and now we're
telling ALL!

Entenmann's Little Bites 100 Calorie Packs, Soft Baked Brownie Squares

PER SERVING (1 pouch): 100 calories, 4g fat, 85mg sodium, 15g carbs, <1g
fiber, 8g sugars, 1g protein -- POINTS® value 2*

Description: Five fudgy little brownie squares huddled together in a bag.

Pros: You can eat five mini brownies, which is fun. And they taste EXACTLY
like brownies should -- sweet, super-fudgy and delicious.

Cons: Each pouch contains less than a gram of fiber. And we've heard
complaints about the serving size of these. But after checking out all the
other 100-calorie brownie options, we found the portion size to be pretty
impressive. So that's not really a con, is it?

Overall assessment: WOWOWOWOW! These ROCK. We are truly surprised
that we heard anything negative about these brownies -- but then again,
most people don't go and round up all the competitors for comparison!

Little Debbie 100 Calories Triple Fudge Brownies

PER SERVING (1 brownie): 100 calories, 4g fat, 45mg sodium, 15g carbs, 0g
fiber, 8g sugars, 1g protein -- POINTS® value 2*

Description: The world's smallest fudge brownie. With tiny stripes. In an itty
bitty plastic bag.

Pros: Very fudgy texture and taste. Perfect if you're going for the classic
fudge brownie flavor you remember from your middle school cafeteria. The
stripes are a nice bonus.

Cons: It is laughably tiny. Really, REALLY tiny. Almost a joke. And it's fiber-
free. Bummer.

Overall assessment: Even though this brownie tastes pretty good, it's hard to
justify spending 100 calories and 4g fat on something so depressingly
small.

Erin Baker's Organic Brownie Bites, Classic Walnut

PER SERVING (1 brownie): 100 calories, 2.5g fat, 70mg sodium, 18g carbs,
2g fiber, 10g sugars, 2g protein -- POINTS® value 2*

Description: A small, soft, cookie-like brownie with nuts and chocolate chips.

Pros: Organic. Great texture. And it tastes really GREAT (and healthy)!

Cons: Pretty little, and definitely more like a cookie than a brownie. And 100
calories for a smallish cookie isn't a bargain.

Overall assessment: Not a bad option if you're into organic food and don't
mind spending 100 calories on a single cookie. It's not something we'd add
into our regular rotation though.

VitaBrownie, Deep & Velvety Chocolate

PER SERVING (1 brownie): 100 calories, 2g fat, 120mg sodium, 23g carbs,
6g fiber, 8g sugars, 4g protein -- POINTS® value 1*

Description: A large, chunky, nut-topped brownie.

Pros: Beautiful, moist, gigantic. This one's the most appealing and
impressive-looking by far. And while some carby, chocolatey treats leave
you feeling hungry for more, this brownie's VERY satisfying. It's high in fiber
and has lots of vitamins. It's also super-low in fat.

Cons: If you don't like walnuts, you're out of luck (although you might like
the Dark Chocolate Pomegranate version Vita makes -- no nuts there). Also,
it tastes like healthy cake more than a fudgy brownie, so it may not be quite
chocolatey or chewy enough if you want a really gooey brownie fix.

Overall assessment: We LOVE this brownie for so many reasons. It's huge,
good for you (more nutritional bang for your calorie buck), and VERY
satisfying. But again, it does taste a little more like cake than a brownie.

Glenny's 100 Calorie Brownie

PER SERVING (1 brownie): 100 calories, 4g fat, 85mg sodium, 12g carbs, 7g
fiber, 11g sugars, 4g protein -- POINTS® value 2*

Description: A flat, dull brownie with some chocolate chips.

Pros: It's not small -- it's actually a decent size. It has a lot of fiber, and it
seems to have lots of fans (though we're not particularly fond of it).

Cons: This one's very thin and has a slightly sour taste. It's also not so
pretty -- in fact, it's a little sad-looking.

Overall assessment: We're not impressed at all. We still like Glenny's Soy
Crisps and Spud Delites though.
