Hungry Girl Today: 1.21.08

Spotted on Shelves...

Lean Cuisine Flatbread Melts - Tired of eating frozen panini after panini?
Check out the new Flatbread Melts from Lean Cuisine, available in Chicken
Philly, Chophouse Steak, Pesto Chicken, and Chicken Ranch Club. Each
meaty, cheesy Melt has 330 calories, 8 - 9g fat, and 4 - 5g fiber (POINTS®
value 6 - 7*). Not bad! (Pssst... we tried the Chicken Philly, and it's goooood!)

Special K Cinnamon Pecan Cereal - Special K has given birth to yet another
bouncing (& crunchy!) baby. Their Cinnamon Pecan cereal is a combo of light
cinnamon-flavored flakes and real pecans. Each 3/4-cup serving of this stuff
has 120 calories, 2g fat and 1g fiber (POINTS® value 2*). We’ve yet to chew
it, but we hear it has been seen at markets across the U.S.!

All-Bran Fiber Bars - In both Apple Cinnamon Streusel and Strawberry
Drizzle, these multigrain bars have just 120 - 130 calories and 2.5g fat each,
and they’re packed with 10 grams of fiber per bar (POINTS® value 2*).
We're psyched to try these.

Free Stuff = Good Times!

Free Samples of Fiber One Caramel Delight!!!! - This brand-new cereal from
Fiber One is sweet, crunchy, and caramelicious. But heads up -- it's not the
same as regular F1 (the kind we use to faux fry stuff!). This cereal features
whole wheat squares (not bran sticks!), and it has 180 calories, 3g fat and 9g
fiber per cup (POINTS® value 3*). To get your free sample (while supplies
last), click here and sign up for the Eat Better America email newsletter
(you’ll get access to printable coupons when you sign up, too!).

Free Simple Harvest Samples!!!! - Hmmmm... bar or cereal? Cereal or bar?
The choice is yours -- while supplies last, you can either get a sample packet
of Quaker Simple Harvest Instant Multigrain Hot Cereal in Maple Brown
Sugar with Pecans (160 calories, 3.5g fat, 4g fiber, with a POINTS® value of
3* per serving) or a trial-size Quaker Simple Harvest Multigrain Chewy
Granola Bar in Dark Chocolate Chunk (150 calories, 4.5g fat, 2g fiber, with a
POINTS® value of 3* per full-size bar). Both are good (and all natural), but
we say GO FOR THE BAR!!! Click here NOW!
Free F1... Weeeeee!

Stuff You Didn't Know You Needed...

Heart-Shaped Teacup and Saucer - Do you looooooooooooooove coffee (or
tea or cocoa)? Prove it! Pour your hot beverage of choice into this adorable
heart-shaped cup. Sooooo cute, soooo perfect for Valentine's Day, and
soooooo on sale! Click here to check it out.

Bottomless Plates of Food? - If you're like us, you get a little sad when you
eat all of your food and see an empty plate. Well, nab some of these groovy
British plates with photos of food on the bottom, and your plate will never be
totally empty again. Available in either fatty breakfast or salad design (FYI,
those aren't the official names). Heads up: These plates are big sellers, so
snag some fast!

Too Faced FUZE Slenderize Guilt Free Lip Gloss - Slather your lips with
calorie-free Dragonfruit Lime, Strawberry Melon or Blueberry Raspberry
gloss, based on the FUZE Slenderize line of beverages. The gloss contains
some of the same ingredients as the drinks, which supposedly suppress
appetite and boost energy. Sweet!

The Buzz...

You've heard us yap about the up-and-coming, all-natural, calorie-free
sweetener stevia (click here for more info on the wonder herb). Well, the
world's first diet soda alternative featuring stevia has arrived, and it's
called... ZEVIA! Zevia comes in three flavors -- Natural Cola, Natural
Orange, and Natural Twist (lemon-lime). It has 5 calories or less per serving,
and it contains no sugar or artificial sweeteners. Click here to find out how to
get your hands on some! ***Don't forget to check out what our friends at
healthydiningfinder.com are up to this year. Their site will help you make
smarter choices while dining out in 2008, and they're constantly adding new
info and restaurants to their database. Woohoo! ***Hey! Check out this
article on cnn.com that's all about FIVE "bad" foods that can actually help you
lose weight (including red meat, pizza, and ice cream!). YAY! That's all we've
got. HG out!
