WEEKLY WEIGH-IN

We chewed some stuff -- and now we're telling all!

Walden Farms Calorie Free Creamy Peanut Spread

PER SERVING (2 tbsp.): 0 calories, 0g fat, 105mg sodium, 0g carbs, 0g fiber,
0g sugars, 0g protein -- POINTS® value 0*

Here we go again! As many of you know, we’re not huge fans of Walden
Farms' zero-calorie foods. OK, that was an understatement -- we think
they’re horrific. But we’ve received so many requests to weigh in on the
company's new peanut spread that we decided to try it. We wish we had
better news to report on this one, people -- but sadly, we do not. Our
experience with a new Walden Farms no-cal product is pretty much always
the same. We go to the store, get really excited because it looks great in the
jar, take it back to the HG HQ, attempt to taste and
swallow said product, and then cannot actually get it down. This time was no
different (contrary to what their site says, we did find the stuff at the store
already). This "peanut spread" has the consistency of suntan lotion, and it
tastes NOTHING like peanut butter. In fact, we’re not sure WHAT it tastes
like, and none of our testers (and we had FOUR that day) would even
swallow it. Just a friendly HG warning -- skip this stuff unless you’re into self-
torture.

Overall Score: 0. Yes, ZERO.

Amy's Multi-Grain Hot Cereal Bowl

PER SERVING (1 bowl): 180 calories, 1.5g fat, 260mg sodium, 34g carbs, 4g
fiber, 8g sugars, 4g protein -- POINTS® value 3*

We typically don't do backflips over hot cereal, because we usually don't find
the portion sizes satisfying enough. However, we were more than pleasantly
surprised when we tried this new b-fast bowl from Amy's. The cereal is
REALLY delicious (we added some sugar-free maple syrup to it, to make it
even yummier!), and the portion size was pretty big -- definitely satisfying
enough for breakfast. Whoever is in charge of development over at Amy's
has some ROCKIN' tastebuds, because all of the products that come out of
that kitchen taste SO good. This bowl is a GREAT way to get a hot breakfast
in at home -- or at the office. And the nutritionals are right on target, too (4g
fiber!). Two yums up!!! BTW, Amy's breakfast bowls also come in Cream of
Rice, Rolled Oats, and Steel-Cut Oats (we've tried 'em all, but this is our
fave!). Look for them in the freezer aisle.

Overall Score: 9. Actually backflip-worthy.

Guiltless Gourmet Tortilla Chips, Assorted Flavors

PER SERVING (1 oz., about 18 chips): 120 - 123 calories, 2 - 3g fat, 26 -
250mg sodium, 19 - 23g carbs, 2g fiber, 0 - 1g sugars, 2 - 3g protein --
POINTS® value 2*

WOW! Our pals over at GG have reformulated their classic chips, which come
in a gazillion varieties! The new chips are crispier and more packed with
flavor than before. We tried a bunch of 'em…

Mucho Nacho - AWESOMELY cheesy!

Chipotle - Fantastic, a bit HOT, and a tiny bit sweet.

Yellow Corn - GREAT for recipes! A solid chip.

Blue Corn - Good, but slightly boring.

Spicy Black Bean - Sassy and VERY beany. Yum!

Chile Lime - Has a not-so-hot, fake lime taste. Skip it.

Unsalted Yellow Corn - Great, especially if you prefer a plainer chip -- and
sometimes, we do!

There you have it! FYI -- these are our go-to chips for use in recipes like our
Gooey Chili Cheese Nachos and our Crunchtastic Supreme!

Overall Score: 8. Great chips... now even better!

Special K Cinnamon Pecan Cereal

PER SERVING (3/4 cup): 120 calories, 2g fat, 180mg sodium, 25g carbs, 1g
fiber, 7g sugars, 2g protein -- POINTS® value 2*

Those Special K peeps never sleep. They work overtime to create everything
from bars and snacks to powdered drink mixes. But that doesn’t mean they’d
ever abandon their always-growing line of cereal. Nuh-uh! In fact, their latest
breakfast bowl creation may be their best one yet! Special K Cinnamon
Pecan is a mix of sweet, cinnamony flakes and real bits of pecan. With just
120 calories a serving, it makes for a great breakfast (if you’re a morning
cereal eater) or a great snack! Toss a few handfuls of the stuff into a Ziploc
bag, and take it with you anywhere as a fun little any-time-of-day treat. Nice
work, K!

Overall Score: 8.5. Yum!
