<br>Wendy's is doing away with their "biggie" sized items...sort of. The chain will 
<br>drop the word "biggie" from its menu, but don't let that confuse you. They'll 
<br>still be offering the same super-humungous portions -- just calling 
<br>them "small", "medium" or "large". So remember to be mindful of what those 
<br>sizes mean when ordering.
<br>
<br>Jack in the Box has recently added a fresh fruit cup (consisting of 7 oz. of 
<br>cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple and red grapes) to their menu. It's a great 
<br>on-the-go snack. (Skip those JITB tacos, grab the fruit!)
<br>
<br>KFC is being sued by a retired physician and the Center for Science in the 
<br>Public Interest (CSPI). They're trying to force the chicken chain to change its 
<br>cooking practices and stop using unhealthy trans fat-filled cooking oil. KFC 
<br>calls the suit "frivolous" and will fight it in court. Stay tuned...

<br>Americans: Addicted to Salads?!
<br>
<br>A new study (which was conducted by Quiznos) reveals that Americans love 
<br>their greens. A lot. The survey found that one in three people would rather 
<br>go a day without breakfast than a day without salad. It was also determined 
<br>that we eat an average of three salads a week, and have one for dinner 
<br>about 10 times a month. Coincidentally(?), Quiznos has just launched a line 
<br>of four Flatbread Chopped Salads -- Roasted Chicken with Honey Mustard, 
<br>Classic Cobb, Chicken Caesar, and Antipasto. Lucky for Quiznos the same 
<br>study also found that 54% of Americans would rather get their salad at a 
<br>restaurant than make it at home. Well that all worked out nicely, didn't it? In 
<br>any event, we'll be checking out these new offerings (we love a good 
<br>chopped salad!) and reporting back soon...

<br>TCBY is celebrating its silver anniversary (25 years!) with a new line of hand-
<br>scooped frozen yogurt. Find the stuff (in flavors like Chocolate Chunk Cookie 
<br>Dough, Strawberries & Cream and Mint Chocolate Chunk!) at a TCBY near 
<br>you. FYI, you'll be able to get it hand scooped on the spot, or in easy-to-take-
<br>home quarts. ***Need more proof that trans fats are bad news? Researchers 
<br>found that monkeys who were fed a diet containing trans fat (man-made fats 
<br>found in things like shortening and margarine), gained 5% more body weight 
<br>than monkeys who were fed the same exact diet except for the substitution 
<br>of healthy fat (like the kind found in olive oil). The extra weight was gained 
<br>primarily in their abdomens. Our take away? Trans fat = bad for the belly. 
<br>***Here's some potential good news for Coke Blak fans. Looks like the price 
<br>of the stuff may actually be reduced. While consumers love the taste of the 
<br>coffee/cola beverage, they're not on board with the high price tag. Coke is 
<br>responding favorably and may actually drop the cost. That's all we've got.
