GIRLS BITE OUT

Kashi's frozen meals have arrived...Woohoo!

All natural and made with 7 whole grains, these brand new entrees rocked
our socks off! We chewed 'em, and now we're telling all. Here's our official
review...

Sweet & Sour Chicken
(320 calories, 3.5g fat, 380mg sodium, 55g carbs, 6g fiber, 25g sugars, 18g
protein = 6 points)

What It Is: Sliced chicken with roasted green beans and yellow pepper, red
pepper, crimini mushrooms, onions and edamame (soybeans), served over
Kashi® 7 Whole Grains Pilaf, and topped with a light, tangy sweet and sour
sauce.

What We Think: This is one of the best-tasting frozen dinners of all time. We
couldn't believe how fresh and AWESOME the veggies were. And the sweet &
sour sauce was unbeatable. The edamame was a fantastic touch. We loved
the whole grain pilaf. Yum!

Overall Score: 9.5. We will be buying this one again. And again. And again.

Lime Cilantro Shrimp
(250 calories, 8g fat, 690mg sodium, 33g carbs, 6g fiber, 8g sugars, 12g
protein = 5 points)

What It Is: Shrimp with roasted green peppers and red onion, red bell
peppers and carrots, served over our Kashi® 7 Whole Grains Pilaf, and
topped with lime ginger cilantro sauce.

What We Think: This meal contained FIVE impressively sized shrimp, and
they were far and away the best frozen dinner shrimp we've ever tasted. It
was a bit saucy. So much so, that we think you could easily add a slew of
steamed veggies to it and have more than enough sauce to go around. It
tasted creamy, too. And don't worry -- the cilantro wasn't overpowering, so if
even if you're not a fan of the stuff, you'll probably still enjoy this entree.

Overall Score: 8.5. A shrimpy good time!

Black Bean Mango
(340 calories, 8g fat, 430mg sodium, 58g carbs, 7g fiber, 11g sugars, 8g
protein = 7 points)

What It Is: Black beans with roasted red onions and green peppers, red
peppers and carrots. Served over Kashi® 7 Whole Grains Pilaf and topped
with fire-roasted mango sauce. A delicious dish that's Vegan, too

What We Think: This meal wins the award for the most original frozen dish
ever. This sweet, bean-y, veggie-packed dish had huge chunks of yummy
onion and hunks of mango, too, which made it a tropical taste sensation.

Overall Score: 9.5. Two yums up!!!

Southwest Style Chicken
(240 calories, 5g fat, 680mg sodium, 32g carbs, 6g fiber, 3g sugars, 16g
protein = 4 points)

What It Is: Chicken marinated in lime juice, cumin and olive oil, grilled then
sliced. Served over our Kashi® 7 Whole Grains Pilaf, tossed with fire roasted
onions and corn, green and red peppers and topped with southwestern sauce.

What We Think: WOW! Talk about a microwavable Mexican fiesta! We LOVED
this dish and were WAY impressed, not only with the tender chicken pieces,
but with the veggies' fire roasted flavor (and actual grill marks!). Awesome!
It even had an impressive spicy kick...

Overall Score: 8.5. We'd chew it again for sure!

Lemon Rosemary Chicken
(330 calories, 9g fat, 640mg sodium, 45g carbs, 5g fiber, 1g sugars, 17g
protein = 7 points)

What It Is: Chicken marinated with lemon and rosemary, grilled then sliced.
Served with baby Portobello mushrooms and sugar snap peas over our
Kashi® 7 Whole Grains Pilaf, and topped with lemon rosemary sauce.

What We Think: While this dish is definitely best suited for SERIOUS
rosemary lovers, it's an all-around solid meal. The lemon flavor was pretty
much overpowered by the rosemary, so fans of lemon chicken may be a bit
disappointed. In fact, we think the name should be changed to Rosemary
Rosemary Chicken. We loved the mushrooms and sugar snap peas a lot
though. Did we mention this meal is better for people who really crave
rosemary? It is.

Overall Score: 7.5. But that's because we don't like rosemary as much as
some other people do.

Chicken Pasta Pomodoro
(280 calories, 6g fat, 470mg sodium, 38g carbs, 6g fiber, 5g sugars, 19g
protein = 5 points)

What It Is: Chicken and roasted vegetables over whole grain pasta and
topped with fresh tomato garlic basil sauce, parmesan cheese and Kashi® 7
Whole Grain Flakes.

What We Think: To us, this one was pretty much a standard frozen chicken
and pasta meal. Sure the whole grain pasta adds fiber, which is great, but we
found this chicken to be a bit saltier than the chicken in the other dishes.
There was lots of basil and garlic flavor in this one, too, so if you're a big fan
of those things, you may very well groove on this entree. We prefer the
meals that feature Kashi's famous 7 Whole Grains Pilaf, though.

Overall Score: 7.5. Not bad, just not spectacular like some of the others.
