GIRLS BITE OUT

We took FIVE better-for-you pizza wraps 'n pockets out for a spin. Here's the
411...

We love pizza so much it hurts. That's why the day we tried FIVE popular
unconventional pizza items was one of the best days ever here at the HG
HQ. The good news is, there really isn't a bad one in the bunch. But there
are pros and cons to each. Read on for the saucy scoop...

Amy's Spinach Pizza in a Pocket Sandwich
(4.5 oz. pocket: 280 calories, 9g fat, 460mg sodium, 37g carbs, 3g fiber, 3g
sugars, 13g protein = 6 Points)

What It Is: Tender crust filled with organic spinach, feta and mozzarella
cheeses and pizza sauce.

What We Think of It: This thing is so good it almost made our heads pop off.
It is as close to perfection as one can imagine a frozen spinach pizza wrap to
be. Wheat-y, healthy-tasting yet delicious doughy crust is stuffed with
yummy cheeses, spinach and sauce, just like the box promises. The
ingredients really work well together. It's actually WAY better than we
expected it to be (and we always have high hopes for our friends over at
Amy's).

Overall Score: 9.5. It would get a perfect ten, but 9g of fat is pretty high.

Cedarlane Low Fat Pizza Veggie Wraps
(6 oz. wrap: 220 calories, 3g fat, 520mg sodium, 32g carbs, 2g fiber, 3g
sugars, 17g protein = 4 Points)

What It Is: Organic tomato, non-fat mozzarella, black olives, organic onion,
organic red and green bell peppers, and just the right seasonings in an
organic wheat flour tortilla.

What We Think of It: OK, this thing is INSANE. It's larger than all the others
by far, and it tastes fantastic. It doesn't contain meat or anything kooky,
just special low-fat cheese, sauce and some veggies. The flavor is mild and
slightly sweet, too. We are in the middle of a serious love affair with this
wrap. No surprise there because we have mad crushes on pretty much ALL
of Cedarlane's products.

Overall Score: 9. Size definitely matters when it comes to pizza wraps.
And this is not only the LARGEST one, but also the lowest in fat. Cedarlane,
you really hit this one out of the park!

Smart Ones Pepperoni Pizza Smartwich
(4.5 oz. pocket: 290 calories, 7g fat, 700mg sodium, 41g carbs, 2g fiber, 8g
sugars, 16g protein = 6 Points)

What It Is: Pepperoni, mozzarella, and pizza sauce in a pocket that
resembles a catcher's mitt.

What We Think of It: We like this bear-claw-shaped pizza item. It's cute and
tasty. Truth be told, we wish it could have a little less fat and a little more
fiber (come on, Weight Watchers, if YOU can't deliver that, who can?). The
bread is puffy and yummy, but overall this product is a bit salty and not quite
as impressive as the others.

Overall Score: 7. Not bad, just not anything we're doing backflips over.

Lean Pockets Ultra, Supreme Pizza
(1 pocket: 210 calories, 7g fat, 600mg sodium, 21g carbs, 5g fiber, 5g
sugars, 20g protein = 4 Points)

What It Is: Tender, fiber-ific crust packed with sausage, pepperoni, cheese
and sauce.

What We Think of It: Kudos to the genius who managed to squeeze cheese,
pepperoni and sausage into a pizza-rific item that contains just 210 calories
and 7g of fat. It has a whopping 5g of fiber, too! It's not all natural or
organic like some of the others, but this baby is VERY impressive (not to
mention zesty and DEEEE-LICIOUS). Heads up: the crust DOES taste low-
carby, so if you tend to notice and not enjoy such things, you may not love it
as much as we did.

Overall Score: 9.5. This is a pretty solid way to kick a craving for fatty,
awful, meaty pizza to the curb.

Amy's Cheese Pizza in a Pocket Sandwich
(4.5 oz. pocket: 300 calories, 9g fat, 450mg sodium, 42g carbs, 4g fiber, 5g
sugars, 14g protein = 6 Points)

What It Is: Classic cheese pizza combination of mozzarella cheese and
flavorful organic pizza sauce.

What We Think of It: Like all Amy's Kitchen products, this wrap tastes fresh
and decadent. It's slightly small-ish and does contain 9g of fat, but it's a solid
way to get a cheesy pizza fix if you don't mind going for a treat with slightly
higher nutritionals. It has a pretty strong rosemary flavor, so in case you're
sensitive to that (or love it or hate it) we wanted to give you a heads up. It
is nowhere near as delicious as their spinach pizza pockets, but few things on
the planet are.

Overall Score: 7.5. We like it. And if you're a fan of rosemary, you'll love
these cheesy things!
