I love snacking on hard-boiled egg whites and using them in recipes, but I hate removing the shells. It takes forever, and I end up losing half the egg whites in the process! Do you have a foolproof method?

I also LOVE hard-boiled egg whites and eat them regularly. All that protein makes them so filling! Each large egg white (without the yolk) has around 3.5g protein and only about 17 calories. So great! But removing the shells can definitely be frustrating... unless you have some tips and tricks up your sleeve. Luckily, over the years here at Hungryland, we've perfected a method that makes peeling hard-boiled eggs super easy. Check it out below, and watch this video to see how it's done!

Step 1: Place eggs in a pot, and cover with water, leaving a few inches of the pot’s inner edge above the water line. Bring to a boil.

Step 2: Once boiling, cook for 10 minutes.

Step 3: Drain water, and transfer eggs to a bowl. Cover with ice and cold water. Let sit for at least 20 minutes.

Step 4: Gently crack eggs on the rim of the bowl, and easily peel off the shells!

Once you try this, you'll never do it any other way again. I like to whip up a dozen hard-boiled eggs over the weekend and keep 'em on hand for snacking throughout the week. They're also fantastic in recipes... like these!
