Your food-find emails are the best thing about Mondays! What are your absolute favorite products that you’ve discovered this year?

Yay! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the daily emails. This year has delivered some amazingly delicious (and super-creative) new products. Here are some of my favorites so far… Can’t wait to see what the rest of 2019 will bring!

TRU GRILL 100% All Natural Diced Original Grilled Chicken Breasts

One 3-oz. bag: 110 calories, 2.5g total fat (1g sat. fat), 260mg sodium, 0g carbs, 0g fiber, 0g sugars, 22g protein -- SmartPoints® value 0*

I love snacking on protein, and this line of perfectly portioned bags of precooked diced chicken breast is a total gamechanger. In addition to snacking on ‘em straight, I’ll add them to a salad or stir-fry for a low-effort lunch or dinner. Such a timesaver! Find them in the refrigerated section at Target.

Sabatino Tartufi Truffle & Salt

1/4 tsp.: 0 calories, 0g total fat (0g sat. fat), 430mg sodium, 0g carbs, 0g fiber, 0g sugars, 0g protein -- SmartPoints® value 0*

This flavor booster is giving everything bagel seasoning a run for its money! Powered by truffles (which are like fancy underground mushrooms), this seasoned salt adds savory flavor to just about everything! I LOVE it on egg scrambles and roasted veggies. And a little goes a long way -- I’ve had this same jar from Amazon forever, and I use it all the time!

Crunchies Freeze-Dried Fruit in Chocolate

About 5 - 14 pieces (30g): 120 - 130 calories, 7 - 8g total fat (4 - 5g sat. fat), 0 - 20mg sodium, 16 - 17g carbs, 1 - 2g fiber, 12 - 15g sugars, 2g protein -- SmartPoints® value 6 - 7*

Freeze-dried fruit is a no-brainer swap for regular dried fruit. It’s way less calorie dense, which means bigger & more satisfying portions! Well, the geniuses at Crunchies covered crispy chunks of banana, mango, blueberries, and strawberries in super-rich chocolate, and I’ve never been happier. (OK, maybe once or twice!) Find ‘em in select Safeway locations, or order online.

Legendary Foods Pizza Flavored Almonds

1 oz. (28g): 160 calories, 14g total fat (1.5g sat. fat), 170mg sodium, 7g carbs, 3g fiber, 2g sugars, 5g protein -- SmartPoints® value 5*

It’s a pizza fix in a protein-packed snack! Each of these almonds is completely coated in a delicious flavor dust that just screams PIZZA. I love these so much that I gave them away on my Simply 6 book tour and keep boxes of them at Hungryland. They’re not sold in many stores, but they’re worth ordering from the Legendary Foods website or Amazon.

RightRice

1/3 cup dry: 180 calories, 2g total fat (0g sat. fat), 145 - 390mg sodium, 30g carbs, 5g fiber, 0 - <1g sugars, 10g protein -- SmartPoints® value 4 - 5*

VEGGIE. POWERED. RICE. This gluten-free grain is mostly made up of lentils and peas, giving it 2x the protein and 5x the fiber of regular white rice. Plus, it has nearly 40% fewer net carbs than white rice. Unlike cauliflower rice (which you know I LOVE!), RightRice tastes JUST like traditional rice. The texture is spot-on. My pal Keith (who created Popchips) invented it… Way to go, Keith!! Find it in the rice aisle at Whole Foods or order online.

Hodo Yuba Noodles

3 oz.: 170 - 180 calories, 3.5 - 4.5g total fat (1 - 1.5g sat. fat), 310mg sodium, 17g carbs, 6g fiber, 2 - 3g sugars, 16 - 17g protein -- SmartPoints® value 4 - 5*

I’m so impressed by these soy-based noodles. In Sesame and Spicy, they come fully cooked & ready to eat, perfect for lunch in a pinch. And just LOOK at all that protein! They’re good hot or cold, so try ‘em out in your favorite salad or stir-fry. Find them at Whole Foods and other natural food stores.

Silk Oat Yeah Oatmilk

1 cup: 90 - 120 calories, 2.5 - 3.5g total fat (0g sat. fat), 105 - 135mg sodium, 14 - 23g carbs, 1 - 2g fiber, 4 - 13g sugars, 2g protein -- SmartPoints® value 3 - 5*

Oat milk is having a moment, and this line by Silk is ultra rich and creamy! It comes in Plain, Vanilla, and Chocolate. The Vanilla is my hands-down favorite -- it's perfect for shakes, smoothies, and coffee drinks! Click to find.

Peckish Fresh Protein Pack

1 container: 160 - 190 calories, 10 - 14g total fat (3 - 3.5g sat. fat), 240 - 520mg sodium, 2 - 7g carbs, 0 - 1g fiber, 0 - 1g sugars, 11 - 14g protein -- SmartPoints® value 5*

2 hard-boiled eggs + 1 crunchy dip = the snack of the year! So unique. So satisfying. So delicious. My favorite flavor is the “Fried Rice” (green onion, sweet carrot flakes, crispy quinoa), but try ‘em all… Order your pack online or locate near you.

Enlightened Chocolate-Dipped Light Ice Cream Bars

1 bar: 150 calories, 9 - 10g total fat (6 - 7g sat. fat), 55 - 60mg sodium, 17 - 18g carbs, 3 - 4g fiber, 7 - 9g sugars, 5g protein -- SmartPoints® value 7*

My dream low-calorie ice-cream bars are now coated in chocolate… Can 2019 get any better?! Enlightened makes the best low-sugar, high-protein ice cream EVER, and these ice cream bars are a welcome addition to my freezer. Find the Vanilla Milk Chocolate and Vanilla Dark Chocolate Almond at Safeway, Sprouts, and more.
