Hi Hungry Girl,
People online are always buzzing about ALDI these days, and one just opened up in my area. Do you have a list of recommendations for ALDI newbies?
A Little Darn Intimidated
Hey A.L.D.I. (I see what you did there),
I totally get it. There's something about starting fresh with a new grocery store that feels a little like the first day of school. Like any store, ALDI has its basics and its specialty items — it's very much like its sister store Trader Joe's in that way. ALDI also gets new seasonal goodies in all the time, which is part of the fun of shopping there. I've done a few ALDI haul taste tests on my podcast… and I actually just released a new one today! So I rounded up a bunch of finds that I loved from past episodes. Look for these amazing picks, and have fun discovering new ones while you’re there!
HG FYI: ALDI’s stock varies by location.
When you're building an easy meal, having a central item to start with is key. I frequently go with some sort of heat 'n eat protein, but a flatbread or slim bagel to dress up is also a great place to begin…
The selection of fun sauces and toppers at ALDI is terrific! FYI, the Park Street Deli line rotates in new dip flavors all the time, so keep an eye out for other delicious options.
What would we do without snacks? (Yes, the Little Munchers snack is intended for little ones, but I like them too.)
Don't forget dessert! There are a lot of amazing options, and the Fit & Active brand is a good one to look for if you're watching calories.
