The Best Healthy Food and Drink Finds of May 2026

May 29 2026
May is coming to end, and we’re looking back at some of the BEST food discoveries we made this month. Spoiler: May has been very good to us…

Trader Joe’s Organic Low Calorie Pink Lemonade

8 oz.: 40 calories, 0g total fat (0g sat. fat), 0mg sodium, 9g carbs, 0g fiber, 8g total sugars (8g added sugars), 0g protein
WW Points® value 2*
It’s not surprising that something from Trader Joe’s ended up on this list, but finding a drink marketed as low in calories on the shelves of TJ’s sure is! Made with a mix of sugar and stevia, it has the perfect balance of sweetness and tartness. Some lemon drinks end up tasting how we imagine floor cleaner would taste, but this stuff is outstanding. We’re calling it now: This is THE drink of the summer.

Annie Chun's Shoyu Ramen

5.49-oz. bowl: 280 calories, 2.5g total fat (0g sat. fat), 1,510mg sodium, 54g carbs, 3g fiber, 4g total sugars (2g added sugars), 10g protein
WW Points® value 8*
This shelf-stable ramen bowl seriously delivers. The soy-based broth is rich, savory, and DELICIOUS, the noodles have that ideal chewy texture, and we’re big fans of the tofu, mushrooms, and other tasty add-ins. Add water and microwave it; or skip the microwave and make it with hot water! It’s an easy, satisfying pick for lunch, dinner, or anytime noodle cravings hit.  Find it at Walmart, supermarkets, convenience stores, and on Amazon.

Well Market Snack Sticks in White Cheddar

About 40 pieces (28g): 140 calories, 8g total fat (2g sat. fat), 300mg sodium, 15g carbs, 0g fiber, 2g total sugars (0g added sugars), 1g protein
WW Points® value 5*
We did not expect a CVS exclusive to wind up on this list, but here we are! Made without artificial flavors, these snacks are like Cheetos Puffs—minus the resulting orange fingers and with a sharper white cheddar flavor. From the huge serving size to the airy crunch, we can’t get enough! Definitely worthy of a trip to CVS… No need to wait until you’re out of Advil and nail polish remover.

Winky Protein Pudding

1 pudding cup: 90 calories, 1.5–2g total fat (1g sat. fat), 90–200mg sodium, 16–17g carbs, 0–1g fiber, 2g total sugars (0g added sugars), 10g protein
WW Points® value 3–4*
When Lisa’s sister told her about these no-sugar-added protein-infused puddin’ cups, she opened up Instacart and had them at her house within the hour! We were skeptical at first (worried the added protein would mess with the taste and texture), but we’re happy to report that our skepticism was unfounded. This tastes like perfect delicious pudding: no weird aftertaste or texture. It comes in Vanilla, Chocolate, Salted Caramel (the hands-down winner), and a Target-exclusive Birthday Cake flavor. And it’s naturally sweetened, thanks to the allulose and stevia! Click here to find it near you.

Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Covered Crunchy Corn Kernels

1/4 cup: 170 calories, 9g total fat (5g sat. fat), 55mg sodium, 18g carbs, 1g fiber, 11g total sugars (10g added sugars), 2g protein
WW Points® value 8*
Sweet meets salty in this unexpected coupling! It’s as if some Corn Nuts took a bath in a vat of dark chocolate… and we like it. We like it a LOT. The toasty corn, the decadent cocoa, the satisfying crunch—YES. We’ve been snacking on them straight, but they’d also be great on ice cream, in yogurt, or as part of a popcorn snack mix. You know where to find ‘em.

Chew on this:

It’s May 29th, also known in some circles as National Coq Au Vin Day. We’re going the deconstructed route with our celebration by pairing a glass of red wine with a plate of this Tuscan Chicken Stew.

June will be better for your friends if they have this list in hand…
