Healthy Dollar Tree Food Finds: Frozen Dumplings, Sweet Mustard, 100-Calorie Pastry Crisps

Aug 2 2023
For the first time, we did a Hungry Girl food-find haul from Dollar Tree! Dollar Tree is one of the largest dollar stores in the world, with over 16,000 locations. (And yet, nothing we found there still costs a single dollar, but oh well.) Here are some serious gems…

Bibigo Korean Style Steamed Dumplings Chicken & Vegetable

1 tray dumplings: 250 calories, 6g total fat (1.5g sat. fat), 560mg sodium, 34g carbs, 2g fiber, 2g total sugars (1g added sugars), 15g protein
WW Points® value 7*
1 packet sauce: 25 calories, 0g total fat (0g sat. fat), 370mg sodium, 6g carbs, 0g fiber, 4g total sugars (4g added sugars), 1g protein

These aren't new to us—they're a staple in Lisa's freezer—but we were excited to see them at Dollar Tree! They're INCREDIBLE. This single package of goodies has everything you need: six steam-in-the-tray dumplings and a packet of sauce, all for about 275 calories. Bursting with flavor… It makes a terrific little lunch! Total cost: $3. Single-tray packages like these are also available at grocers nationwide, and you can get a pack of six trays at Costco! (Nutritional stats may vary slightly.)

Old World Quality Foods Sweet Hot Mustard

1 tsp.: 11 calories, 0.3g total fat (0g sat. fat), 36mg sodium, 1.7g carbs, 0g fiber, 1.4g total sugars (1.4g added sugars), 0.3g protein
WW Points® value 1*
This petite jar of mustard costs $1.25, and it’s worth it! The spread is more sweet than hot, and it’s extremely tasty! Use it to dazzle up a turkey sandwich or as a dip for cut veggies. FYI: This mustard is a tad mysterious. Old World Quality Foods products are sold at select retailers nationwide, but there’s currently little info for the Sweet Hot Mustard online… except that people DO appear to be selling jars of it on eBay? Keep a lookout at Dollar Tree and beyond.

Sun Best Pastry Crisps in Apple Cinnamon

2 crisps: 100 calories, 2g total fat (1g sat. fat), 75mg sodium, 19g carbs, 1g fiber, 8g total sugars (8g added sugars), 1g protein
WW Points® value 4*
STOP RIGHT NOW, because you need to hit your local Dollar Tree if only for these glazed treats! There was much yum-ing and crunching when they were tasted on the podcast—we're in LOVE. The taste & texture are divine, and the fact that you get two crisps for 100 calories is nothing to sneeze at. We paid $1.25 for the box, which has four packs in it, so each pack costs just about 30 cents! Find them at Dollar Tree locations nationwide.
