Over the years, we've sampled more than our fair share of frozen entrées. Well, these new bowls
from chef Rick Bayless are, HANDS DOWN, some of the best we've ever tried. They taste ridiculously fresh, have the perfect amount of rice (not too much, like some other frozen meals), and are loaded with flavor. In addition to these tasty varieties (which we've recently become obsessed with), check out the Tinga Taco and Veggie Taco. Nice work, Rick! Click to locate
Clif Kid Organic ZBar Filled in Double Peanut Butter
1 bar: 140 calories, 7g total fat (1.5g sat fat), 160mg sodium, 16g carbs, 2g fiber, 6g sugars, 4g protein -- SmartPoints
We have no problem enjoying snacks that are made for kids. (Not that we'd take one from a kid; we're not monsters!) After all, treats made for children often feature crave-worthy flavors and are more reasonable in size than jumbo adult snacks. This baked bar
stuffed with peanut butter has earned a place in our hearts and our snack drawers! It's crazy delicious and has a slim calorie count... SCORE. The new ZBar Filled line also includes Chocolate filled with Peanut Butter and Apple filled with Almond Butter. Find all three varieties at supermarkets, natural food stores, and convenience stores nationwide.
Trader Joe's Carrot Spirals
1/4th package: 35 calories, 0g total fat (0g sat fat), 160mg sodium, 8g carbs, 2g fiber, 4g sugars, <1g protein -- SmartPoints
Here's an amazing freezer-aisle find from TJ's! Boost your pasta portion or swap it out entirely for these yummy carrot noodles
. We like that they're lightly seasoned with sea salt, so all you have to do is heat 'em up and chow down. And we're especially excited about this find because carrots can be soooo hard to spiralize. Look for it at a Trader Joe's near you
And that's all we've got. 'Til next time... Chew the right thing!
