Top Kitchen Tools & Gadgets We Use Every Week

Jan 30 2026
Ever wonder which tools & gadgets we use the most in the Hungryland kitchen? Here are eight indispensable Amazon finds we use every single week… sometimes both at work AND at home!

Magic Bullet Blender Set

We’ve been singing the praises of the MB for as long as Hungry Girl has been around! Ideal for blending small amounts: DIY sauces, single servings of soup, individual smoothies, and more. It’s also our longtime weapon of choice for turning cereal and other crunchy foods into crumbs for “faux-fried” dishes. (The nutribullet is also a great option!)

Electric Milk Frother

Handheld electric whisks are great… but this tabletop model is our go-to for coffee drinks. Make a hot dense foam, hot airy foam, or cold foam (yes, really!)—or just heat up your milk. Easy to use, and easy to clean.

Air Fryer Liners

We make a LOT of recipes, many of them in the air fryer. And when we’re cranking through them, anything that speeds up the cooking & cleaning process is deeply valuable. Parchment paper liners like these are an absolute godsend. You can also opt for perforated liners or reusable silicone versions.

Oil Sprayer & Pourer

Clear up clutter on your counter! Add your choice of oil to this baby, and you can effortlessly bounce back and forth between pouring and spraying as needed. GENIUS. FYI: Air fryers apparently last longer when you use nonstick spray without propellant, so this option can also help extend the life of your/our favorite appliance.

Mixing Bowl Set with Lids

We go through SO many mixing bowls and utensils during recipe testing, and there’s not really time to clean as we go. That’s why we love having a good amount of bowls on hand. Plus, the lids make it easy to store leftovers or just cover food while it chills. This set even comes with a basting brush, spreader spatula, flexible spatula, egg whisk, AND a stackable set of measuring cups & spoons… all for about $30!

Food Storage Containers

These takeout-style containers are ideal for packing up unused ingredients, leftovers, and other prepped food. The fancy kinds are nice, but these no-frills tubs get the job done. And the 16 oz. containers are a perfect multipurpose size—get this 36-pack for only about $14. Stackable, freezer-safe, microwavable, and BPA-free!

Flexible Cutting Mats

When you cook a lot, you know you can’t just use one cutting board for everything. These flexible color-coded mats are great for avoiding cross-contamination, and they’re useful when transferring food—just roll it up to keep pieces from falling off the side! Non-slip, odor-resistant, and you get three in this pack.

Nonstick Skillet with Lid

A good nonstick skillet is the unsung workhorse of the kitchen! (And if yours has seen better days, it might be time to put it out to pasture.) We’ve been giving sheet pans a lot of love recently, so we feel like it’s only right to give skillets their props as well.

Bonus: Top Food-Prep Picks

Here are a few more favorites. They might not seem as essential as a simple skillet, but they sure do make our lives easier…

Chew on this:

It’s January 30th, National Croissant Day! Oooh, when was the last time you made a batch of these Chocolate Croissant Minis? You deserve a petite treat, no?
