Healthy DIY Frozen Treats: Amazon Finds, Recipes & More

Aug 14 2026
There’s still more than a month of summer left, so let’s chill out and enjoy it. We love putting together our own healthy frozen treats—the possibilities are literally endless! Let us start you off with some ideas and Amazon finds to help you DIY…

Smoothies & Shakes

Maybe the easiest of the frozen desserts—check out our recipes for making smoothies and shakes with shockingly low calorie counts. Frozen fruit is key, as are delicious vanilla and chocolate protein powders. And if you don’t have a blender that can pulverize ice cubes, you might end up disappointed.

Frozen Pops

Fun fact: Everyone is impressed when you present them with a homemade popsicle. We have a handful of A+ recipes. Want the super easy version? Take your favorite sugar-free drink mix, dissolve it in water, and pour into a set of pop molds.

DIY Sorbet

These recipes have three ingredients or less, and while they were developed to make in a Ninja CREAMi, you can also use a regular blender to puree the ingredients, then let your sorbet firm up in the freezer. (It’ll turn out pretty firm though, so you’ll want that heated scoop below…)

Fro-Yo Bark & Freezy Cups

If you’ve never tried our recipes for fro-yo bark or frozen muffin-sized treats, it’s time to give them a shot. You probably already have the basic gear to make them… Mix & match your own choice of ingredients for a personalized creation!

Chew on this:

What’s this? Today, August 14th, is National Creamsicle Day. Blend up a Dreamsicle Creamsicle Protein Freeze to celebrate.

Do you hear that? That’s the sound of your friend panting in the summer heat. Better share this info on DIY frozen treats ASAP.
