Lisa's Latest Amazon Finds & Purchases (October '23)

Oct 27 2023
Lisa here! It’s time, once more, to ask… What’s in my Amazon cart? Here are nine things that I bought over the last month, and what I think about ’em…

Starbucks Veranda Blend Blonde Roast K-Cup Coffee Pods

Veranda Blend is one of my go-to brews, and the fact that it comes in convenient K-cups really clinches it for me. With notes of toasted malt and milk chocolate, Starbucks’ blonde (aka light) roast is just right for any time you need it. The pods are recyclable, and this bulk buy is a serious money saver. These are ALWAYS in my house!

Miracle Noodle Variety Pack

These noodles have just five calories per serving! How? They’re made from 97% water and 3% konjac plant flour. Naturally low in carbs, grain and gluten free, plant based… and all you need to do is heat them up and serve with your toppings of choice. The pack I ordered includes Spaghetti, Fettuccine, and Angel Hair Styles, but there’s a rice version available too. These are especially good paired with Laughing Cow cheese wedges! Two thumbs up.

Ninja CREAMi Ice Cream Maker

Transform everyday ingredients into creamy frozen treats. This insanely amazing gadget by the Ninja team is so easy to use, and has seven one-touch programs: Ice Cream, Sorbet, Gelato, Milkshake, Smoothie Bowl, Lite Ice Cream, and Mix-in. If you dream of opening your own ice cream shop full of customized creations, this might be the next best thing. Hours of magical frozen fun! My favorite thing to freeze and “creamify” these days? Canned fruit cocktail. (It’s crazy good!)

Sugarbear Hair Vitamins Plant-Pectin Gummies

These certified vegan chewy vitamins have no gelatin or gluten, but they do have a high Amazon rating—a 4.4-star average with around 40,000 reviews! Packed with biotin, folic acid, and vitamins A, B-6, C, D, and E (among others), you can chew your way to healthier hair. They taste great and I’ve noticed that my hair feels thicker and healthier after just a few months of taking them!

Blood on Their Hands: Murder, Corruption, and the Fall of the Murdaugh Dynasty by Mandy Matney

In case you don’t know this about me, I’m a total true-crime buff, so it’s no great surprise that I pre-ordered this book which officially releases on November 14th. What’s it all about? “The highly anticipated inside look at the collapse of the Murdaugh dynasty by the celebrated investigative journalist and creator of the #1 hit Murdaugh Murders Podcast, Mandy Matney.” I happen to be a HUUUGE fan of Mandy’s two podcasts, True Sunlight (formerly MMP) and Cup of Justice, both of which have covered this case for years! Super excited for this one to arrive…

CTEX Wired Earbuds for iPhone (2 Pack)

These earbuds look like the classic wired versions by Apple, but you can grab two sets for a much lower price. (Keep a set in your car—nobody likes getting to the gym or their favorite hiking spot only to discover they forgot their headphones!) My favorite thing about them? They have lightning plug attachments, so they’re compatible with most semi-recent iPhone models (but not the brand-new iPhone 15, which has changed to a USB-C port). Thank me later!

MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation

True to the name, this classic product by MAC is a shine-controlling powder and foundation in one. Long-wearing, non-caking, non-streaking, non-settling, AND it comes in a wide variety of shades so that you can match your own skin tone. (Click to shop around.) As a person who doesn’t like to wear full coverage face makeup, this is a total favorite, must-have product of mine!

KARNAR 6 in 1 Concealer Palette

Whether you’re trying to even your skin tone, hide dark circles under your eyes, or attempting some subtle contouring, a palette with different variations off your own skin tone is super useful. Amazon has a TON of options so you can find a palette that suits you best. Shop around! Some even come with their own brush… Woohoo!

Batiste Instant Hair Refresh Dark Hair Dry Shampoo (6 Pack)

This is another recurring favorite of mine, evidenced by the fact that I recently bought this 6 pack. When you know you’re gonna use it a lot, it’s smart to stock up and save! Batiste’s Hint of Color dry shampoos are ideal for anyone who wants to freshen up their hair in a hurry without leaving white residue behind. Perfection! (And it smells good, too.)

Chew on this:

Just a note: Tomorrow, October 28th, is National Chocolate Day. Snag some of those candy bar minis from the Halloween stash, and air-fry them into crispy dessert dumplings!
