Celebrate Friendsgiving with Healthy Cranberry Gyro Pizzas

Nov 10 2016
Kick off the holiday season, Friendsgiving style! Just like the name implies, Friendsgiving is a fun way to celebrate Thanksgiving with your best pals. (It doesn't have to happen on the 24th. Any date during the season will do!) Here's everything you need for a fantastic Friendsgiving, including a BREAKOUT pizza recipe and a money-saving coupon. Yay!

HG's Top Tips for a Healthy Friendsgiving

Bring on the lean meat. Turkey is classic and totally tasty! Stick with skinless white meat to keep calories in check. Another surprisingly lean and seriously delicious pick? Lamb! The average 3-oz. portion of cooked lamb loin has just 175 calories. Not baaaaaad!

Veg out. Don't forget about salads and veggie sides. All that fiber will fill you up, so you'll eat less of the calorie-dense dishes. For an easy side with holiday flair, toss chopped kale with some sweetened dried cranberries, and marinate overnight in light raspberry vinaigrette. Mmmmm...

Take a trot. Start or end your Friendsgiving day with a group stroll! You'll burn some extra calories and have fun doing it.

Flat is where it's at. A Friendsgiving feast doesn't have to be traditional, so why not serve crowd-friendly pizza?! But skip the deep dish and other heavy crusts. Instead, use Flatout Flatbread as your base! Need some recipe inspiration? Keep reading...
