2-Ingredient Healthy Banana Oat Cookies + More 2-Ingredient Dessert Recipes

May 28 2020
Listen up! Today’s recipe has just TWO main ingredients -- banana and oats. If you've got some overripe bananas but you don't have the energy to make banana bread, this is an awesome alternative. By the way, this recipe comes from the Hot Couples: Dessert Edition story from the latest issue of Hungry Girl magazine… Get a copy of the mag here!

Prep: 5 minutes
Cook: 20 minutes

1 cup (about 2 medium) mashed extra-ripe bananas

1 cup old-fashioned oats

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/8 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a baking sheet with nonstick spray.

In a medium-large bowl, combine bananas, oats, seasonings, and 1/2 cup water. Mix until uniform.

Form into 12 circles on the baking sheet, each about 2 inches wide. Bake until a knife inserted into the center of a cookie comes out clean, 16 - 18 minutes.

HG Tip: Take this dynamic duo to the next level with the following (yummy!) party crashers… semisweet chocolate chips, shredded coconut, raisins, chopped nuts, or powdered peanut butter!

Today, May 28th, is National Brisket Day. If you're in the mood for tender beef, give this slow-cooker pot roast a try!
