I’m a big snacker, but prepackaged snacks don’t always do it for me. Do you have any suggestions for satisfying high-protein snacks that I can throw together at home?

You bet! I also find protein satisfying. Here are some simple snacks you can make in minutes…

Stuffed Egg Whites

This is one of my favorite snack concepts. Cook up a dozen eggs at once, and then keep them on hand for speedy snacks…

Loaded Rice Cakes

Rice cakes are awesome vehicles for delicious toppings. Pile on the protein! Think deli meats, light cheese, fresh veggies… You name it. Here’s one of my favorites: the 175-calorie Mediterranean Tuna Snack!

Stuffed Veggies

If crunching on raw veggies solo doesn’t do it for you, stuff your vegetables with high-protein filling!

Protein Rollups

Here’s one I eat ALL the time. Start with some low-sodium lean deli meat: turkey, chicken, or even roast beef. Wrap it around a cucumber or pickle spear, and dip it in your favorite condiments. You can even wrap it around string cheese for bonus protein! Here’s my go-to: 30-calorie Turkey Rollups.

DIY Protein Shakes

I don’t care how cold it gets outside, it’s always shake season! I love whipping up blended drinks with protein powder and other filling ingredients. Some of these double as a high-protein dessert…
