I'm a new subscriber, and I'm overwhelmed (in the best way!) by all the awesome-looking recipes. What are some of your personal favorites to come out of the Hungry Girl kitchen this year?

Welcome to the Hungry Girl family! It's been a great year for new recipes at Hungryland, and there are definitely some standouts that I've personally made again and again. Here are my "top ate" (get it?) favorites!

Everything Bagel Bites

1/6th of recipe (3 bites): 115 calories, 1.5g total fat (0.5g sat. fat), 352mg sodium, 17.5g carbs, 3g fiber, 1.5g sugars, 6g protein

I flipped when I discovered Trader Joe's Everything but the Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend. This stuff has changed my life for the better! I put it on everything from egg-white scrambles to avocado toast, so naturally, I had to develop a recipe featuring the wonder product. Thus, these healthified bagel bites were born. They're low in calories, thanks to an undercover ingredient... cauliflower (which you can't taste!). Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside... These are beyond delicious! And to keep the bagel-bites train going, we recently created a cinnamon raisin version too.

Mac Attack Burger Bowl

Entire recipe: 316 calories, 12.5g total fat (4.5g sat. fat), 833mg sodium, 19g carbs, 4.5g fiber, 11.5g sugars, 30.5g protein

SmartPoints® value 7*

Hungry Girl is all about finding healthy ways to enjoy the foods you can't live without. Recently, we tackled the notorious B.I.G. (Mac). This carb-slashed salad bowl has almost all the components of the McDonald's classic: ground beef, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and sesame seeds sans bun! It completely obliterates a fast-food craving. Super satisfying!

Personal S'mores Pies

1/6th of recipe (1 mini pie): 149 calories, 6g total fat (2g sat. fat), 128mg sodium, 20.5g carbs, 2.5g fiber, 8g sugars, 3.5g protein

SmartPoints® value 6*

S'mores are awesome, but these handheld pies are next level! For around 150 calories, you get ooey-gooey chocolatey goodness, melty mallows, and toasty graham. And the fact that these treats are insanely cute doesn't hurt. Perfect for summer get-togethers! For another incredible portion-controlled s'mores fix, check out these Open-Faced Apple S'mores.

Pizza-fied Cauliflower Tots

1/2 of recipe: 168 calories, 5.5g total fat (3g sat. fat), 766mg sodium, 16g carbs, 4g fiber, 4g sugars, 14.5g protein

SmartPoints® value 4*

Dear cauliflower... Thank you for making my dream of guilt-free pizza tots come true. Love, Lisa. In this must-try recipe, we re-created iconic Tater Tots and gave them a pizza-rific twist! Italian seasonings, cheesy goodness, turkey pepperoni... YES. Feeling like Mexican food instead? Cauliflower tots can fiesta too; this Tot-chos recipe is proof. (Bonus: The Tot-chos use Green Giant Cauliflower Veggie Tots as a shortcut!)

Kickin' Key Lime Strawberries

1/2 of recipe (5 strawberries): 103 calories, 4g total fat (2.5g sat. fat), 88mg sodium, 14g carbs, 2g fiber, 8g sugars, 3.5g protein

SmartPoints® value 3*

Strawberry and key lime are so good together, they should just head to the chapel and make it official. Strawberries act as tasty vessels for creamy key-lime filling in this recipe. (Try this with other flavors too, like PB and chocolate!) I love that I can eat FIVE stuffed berries for only around 100 calories. You'll love it too!

Strawberry Cheesecake Dream Dip

1/6th of recipe (about 3 tbsp.): 71 calories, 3g total fat (2.5g sat. fat), 78mg sodium, 8.5g carbs, 0.5g fiber, 5g sugars, 2g protein

SmartPoints® value 3*

This decadent dip has all the flavor of strawberry cheesecake without the baggage that comes with a standard slice! Forget the carb-heavy crust and the high calorie price tag. This dip is packed with fruity goodness, and the texture is out of this world. I love dipping strawberries and apple slices in it. Strawberries are the gift that keeps on giving!

Kale & Cheddar Egg Bakes

1/4th of recipe (3 bakes): 183 calories, 9.5g total fat (5.5g sat. fat), 566mg sodium, 8g carbs, 2.5g fiber, 2.5g sugars, 18g protein

SmartPoints® value 5*

I'm no stranger to egg bakes, but this recent recipe really knocked my socks off. (Good thing I had pedicured toes!) In fact, this may be my very favorite way to enjoy kale. I even snuck in my pal cauliflower rice for bonus texture and fill-you-up fiber. Make magic in a muffin pan, and whip these up over the weekend for a heat 'n eat weekday breakfast!

Turnip Noodles & Chicken Sausage

1/2 of recipe (about 1 1/2 cups): 270 calories, 10.5g total fat (4g sat. fat), 831mg sodium, 24g carbs, 5.5g fiber, 12g sugars, 19g protein

SmartPoints® value 5*

I've been spiralizing veggies since before it was cool, but adding turnips to my routine was a game-changer! Turnip noodles have a phenomenal texture. And in this recipe -- featuring yummy chicken sausage -- they absorb the creamy, flavorful sauce that holds the dish together. It's some seriously tasty stuff, people! If you need more chicken sausage in your life (who doesn't?), try it cooked into a savory oatmeal bake. That's another favorite of mine...
