One of the best ways to start meal planning is by thinking in terms of which meal types work best for you. This will point you in the right direction and then let you get creative and use whatever you've got on hand. For example, if you’re a big fan of salads, you can search for salad recipes or just check your fridge and freestyle it! Here are some of my go-to meals these days, plus recipe favorites…

Breakfast

Bagel Bites, Oatmeal & Egg Mugs

I like to start with one of these, and then add something on the side for balance, like fresh fruit or hard-boiled egg whites!



Lunches & Dinners

Protein Bowls (and Mugs!), Lettuce Wraps & Stir-Frys

I’ve been really into meals in a mug these days because they’re so easy to toss together. I also like protein bowls and lettuce wraps, because I get a big portion without a lot of starchy carbs. And stir-frys are always in my rotation…

Protein Rollups, Protein Freezes & More

Snacking is VERY important to me. By having healthy snacks between meals, I don’t get out-of-control hungry or make poor food choices later on. Fresh fruit & veggies are no-brainers: Fuji apples and baby carrots top my list! Other must-have staples: light string cheese, fat-free Greek yogurt, crunchy bean snacks, and meat snacks. And if I've got the time, I’ll throw together an easy treat like one of these…
